Metal And Indie Night For MSF
The Oatlands [Harrogate]
|Date:||June 20, 2020|
|Address:||1 Coronation Grove Harrogate|
DJ Scooby invites you to let down your hair and rock! We are a broad church so expect indie, rock, metal, punk, goth and more! Entry is free and there will be a raffle for Medecins Sans Frontieres. Metal sans Frontières is a Heavy Metal fundraising night held in Harrogate. The purpose of the night is to raise money for Doctors Without Borders (MSF / Medicins sans Frontières). Without a schedule, the night is at Harlow Hill Club, College Street, Harrogate. The name of the night is held in blackened reverence.
The night takes its format as a pre-booked open decks night. The only remit is that the music played has got to be rockin’. At Metal sans Frontières we cater for Hair, Punk, Glam, Black & Thrash Metal. Plus all the associated sub-genres between. If you like your music loud and raucous, by coming along to the event you’ll help raise life-saving money for MSF.
There are games held throughout the night. This includes the legendary Air Guitar Competition! We run this night because we have the good fortune to be part of a wider team helping Staff Nurse Andy Dennis.
Andy is trying to raise some much-needed funds for MSF in-between going missions with MSF. You can read all about Andy’s fundraising and missions on his blog at www.andy4msf.com.
Andy is currently a Staff Nurse at Harrogate District Hospital. As a volunteer for MSF, Andy helps people all over the world. MSF helps people when they are suffering through conflict, natural disaster, epidemics or denial of health care options.
In 2005, our friend Andy decided that he wanted to commit a significant part of my life to Doctors without Borders. He has already worked on four separate projects in Africa and has helped to raise funds between these missions. Now he wants to raise £100,000 to help MSF with their incredible work.
